WORK LOCATION: Department of Veterinary Science, Louisiana State University Agricultural Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This is a twelve-month, tenure track 100% research position in the area of veterinary parasitology. The major focus of the position will be to establish a nationally recognized and externally funded research program which will lead to improvement of existing or development of new control strategies for parasites of livestock. The candidate must develop and obtain research grants while conducting original and innovative research. The LSU AgCenter offers a diverse and highly collaborative research environment with state-of-the-art equipment available. In addition the Department of Veterinary Science has close ties to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants should have a DVM and/or PhD, post-doctoral experience, and evidence of research accomplishments. Preference given to those creative, energetic investigators with research programs in Veterinary Parasitology; however individuals with a broad background in parasitology with experience in the genetic, molecular, cellular, and biochemical aspects of the discipline are encouraged to apply.
