Slime mold is harmless to your lawn

(Audio 06/09/08) Slime mold is a primitive fungal organism that lives in organic matter in the soil. Most lawns have slime mold on them. After rainy weather, slime mold will grow on your grass blades and produce spores. (Runtime: 60 seconds)
