If you enjoy learning new gardening skills and volunteering in the community, consider applying for the Louisiana Master Gardener Extension Volunteer Program.

The 2009 training for the Louisiana Master Gardener program in Greater New Orleans area will take place June 15 through August 6, 2009. The course includes 15 training sessions held twice weekly.  

To apply, complete the application form that appears at the bottom of this page. Return the form and your registration fee by June 1, 2009, to the contact listed below. Applicants must be residents of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines or St. Bernard parish.

Class size is limited, and qualified applicants will be asked to participate in an interview following an initial screening of their application.
