Master Gardener Activities
La-Terre Master Gardeners are active throughout Lafourche, Terrebonne and St. Mary Parishes.
Annual Projects and Events:
- Bonne Terre Garden Fair
- Citrus Field Day (every 2 years)
- Golf Tournament co-sponsored with 4-H
- Home and Garden Trends Seminar co-sponsored with Family and Community Education of Lafourche/Terrebonne
- Southeast Louisiana Homebuilders Association Food, Home, Health & Garden Show
- Tomato Field Day
Ongoing Projects and Events:
- Aitkins Subdivision Planting (Spring & Fall)
- Association of Retarded Citizens of Assumption Greenhouse Assistance
- Assisting with 4-H activities: Achievement Day, Seafood & Sugar Cookery Contest, Goat Show, Leadership Conference, etc.
- Assisting LSU AgCenter Office in Thibodaux
- Assisting with Butterfly Dome in Grand Isle
- Habitat for Humanity house landscaping
- Heirloom Tomato Project at Waterproof Farms
- Horticultural Leadership Advisory Council
- Louisiana Iris Display and Test Gardens at Houma-Terrebonne Tourist Center
- Junior Master Gardener Pilot Program in Golden Meadow

- Terrebonne Folklife Culture Center landscape and maintenance
- Thibodaux Farmers' Market (Soil samples, publications, plant diagnostics and advice)
