The ISA Certification and Louisiana Exam Review Course is a 12-session, 36-hour online, short-course designed to provide practitioners with a broad understanding of trees and their care in commercial and residential settings. The course covers information pertinent to anyone interested in testing for the International Society of Arboriculture’s (ISA) Certified Arborist Exam and the Louisiana Arborist State Exam.

In the course we ill introduce basic concepts through lecture and then will build on these facts towards more complex understanding through extensive information review and discussion. Content review relies heavily on practice exam questions.

Between classes, we encourage participants to study and assimilate the information covered during earlier sessions. In addition to weekly classes, we will offer additional review/study activities (upon request) to facilitate comprehension and retention.

Your registration includes: the basic text for the course, the ISA Arborist Certification Study Guide, 3rd Edition 2010, lists of online resources to assist in learning the information presented, and other learning and reference materials. Materials will be mailed to participants before the first class session.

The class sessions meet Wednesdays, Sept. 23—Dec. 16 (no class 11/25), 6-9 p.m. Registration fee $750. Participants must arrange to take state or ISA exam separately.
