This is the time of the year we tend to be mindful of giving thanks or being thankful. On behalf of the Junior Leader Club, I am thankful for the following:
The Jr. Leader Club will be assisting Opelousas Sunrise Rotary Club with Shoe Boxes for Seniors as part of this years’ service project. Each Jr. Leader member is asked to bring 2 unwrapped shoe boxes (1 man and 1 women) filled with items listed below to the November Jr. Leader Club meeting or by December 1st.
The November Junior Leader Club Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17, 2020. At this meeting, we will be finalizing plans for upcoming workshops and discussing our service project for area nursing homes (Shoe Boxes for Seniors). Bring an unwrapped shoe box with items for a Senior nursing home resident for Christmas.
Thanks to those of you that participated in this fundraiser. All orders have been collected and pecans have been ordered. You will be able to pick up your orders at the 4-H Office by the November Junior Leader meeting date – November 17th. If you can’t make it to the meeting, you can pick it up any time that week or Thanksgiving week (Monday-Wednesday).
If you would like to receive your 4-H Project Book, one book included with your dues, please contact the St. Landry 4-H Office. 4-H Agents can pull the book and have it ready for you to pick up at the 4-H Office. The holiday times are a great time to do some of the activities in your 4-H project book. Be sure to take pictures or have someone take pictures of you as you work on activities and complete projects.
