Program Purpose

The Management Development Institute (MDI) is designed to cultivate and enhance the culture of learning and development within the LSU AgCenter and College of Agriculture (CoA). MDI develops core competencies to enhance knowledge and broad perspectives of leadership within the AgCenter and College of Agriculture emerging leaders. MDI will provide opportunities for participants to interact and build relationships with others. Applicants should be willing to learn, support others with their strengths, and learn from others.

Program Goals

  • to develop or enhance competency, skills, and behaviors related to administrative operations within the AgCenter and CoA;
  • to expand the capacity for individuals to perform in leadership roles;
  • to build organizational alignment and develop the capabilities of others
