Gamma Sigma Delta 2014 International Foundation Scholarship Awards

The International Foundation Scholarship Award is a $500 scholarship created in 2006 to recognize the academic accomplishments and leadership contributions of Gamma Sigma Delta’s student members. In 2013, the scholarship was awarded to Ariel Buehler, a senior Food Science and Technology major at the University of Tennessee.

For 2014, a second scholarship to honor long-time International Gamma Sigma Delta officer Dr. John Riley. The John Riley Gamma Sigma Delta Service Scholarship is a $500 scholarship to recognize exemplary service contributions of Gamma Sigma Delta’s student members.

Nominations for the 2014 scholarships are currently being solicitated. Many chapters have recognized an outstanding Junior or Senior student member during the current academic year. Please consider nominating a student who has already been recognized for success at the Chapter level by completing the attached nomination form and returning via email by May 15, 2014.

Submit nomination materials by May 15, 2014 to: Michael Brugger, International Secretary and Treasurer by e-mail to gsdtreasurer@me.com. Each nomination form is limited to a maximum of two pages (not including the letter of nomination).

Please note that there is a maximum of one nominee permitted for each scholarship from each Chapter.

The recipient will be notified later in June after the selection committee meets.
