The Office of the Vice President seeks: to promote a positive climate for diversity and inclusion; to facilitate the development of cultural competency and diversity education; and maintain diversity programming and initiatives to assist in the recruitment and retention of a diverse student body, faculty, staff, and administration. To support these goals, we will provide small grants to faculty, staff, and students to implement projects and/or activities that promote the value of diversity within the AgCenter and/or College of Agriculture. These mini-grants are intended for small-scale initiatives that require quick access to funds. The funds will be a resource for ideas and opportunities that present during the fiscal year and can be executed with short-term planning.

Students who wish to apply must partner with an LSU AgCenter or College of Agriculture department or office. The department or office must agree to support the fiscal processing of the award.
The amount of the award will vary, depending on the nature of the project proposed and the number of meritorious applications received. Selected proposals will be awarded up to $2,000 each. Funding must be expended before June 20, 2022.
