Graduations Senior Scholarships

Seniors, there are lots of scholarships out there for you through 4-H! Be sure you are in contact with the 4-H office so you are not missing out on these opportunities! We have money that we want to give away!!!

The State 4-H Application is below. By completing this one application, you will be entered for a chance to win any of the state 4-H scholarships that you qualify for, the local State 4-H Foundation Scholarship, the Ascension 4-H Foundation scholarships, and the locally awarded Scott Tractor Foundation scholarship.

February 15th at 4:30 pm is the deadline for a hard copy of this scholarship application to be turned into the Extension Office. The application was emailed out to all graduating seniors who have been enrolled for the 2020-21 school year. If you have not received the email, please let us know!


Graduating Senior Honor Cords

Graduating Seniors can apply to get your Honor Cord to wear while walking at your high school graduation! You have worked hard during your 4-H career so wear your honor cord PROUDLY! Applications are available and must be submitted online at https://www.lsuagcenter.com/topics/kids_teens/events/awards/honor-cord! You must have participated in at least 1 state-level event this year to qualify. It takes less than 5 minutes to complete! Applications are due by January 29th! The cords will be sent to the Ascension Extension Office and you will be notified for pick up in early spring.


Golden Clover Award

The deadline to enter to submit the application is February 15th. All items are optional, but a total of 250 points must be earned for the award. Points are accumulated based on your total years of work in 4-H.

The basic requirements are as follows:

1. Must be 14 years or under by January 1 of the club year application is made.

2. Must have at least two (2) years of 4-H club work, including award year.

3. Must score at least 250 points on the application scorecard.

4. This award can only be won by the 4-H member one time.


Emerald Achievement Award

The deadline to enter to submit the application is February 15th. All items are optional, but a total of 360 points must be earned for the award. Points are accumulated based on your total years of work in 4-H.

The basic requirements are as follows:

1. Must be 15 years of age by January 1 of the year application is made.

2. Must have three years of 4-H club work, including award year.

3. Must have completed one year of active Junior Leadership work excluding award year.

4. Must score at least 360 points on the application and scorecard.

5. A club member can only win this award one time.
