Results from 4-H University held in June of each year on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge. Approximately 2,000 4-H club members, volunteers and agents from throughout the state participated in the event. During this event, middle and high school students had the opportunity to meet new friends from across the state, participate in competition, visit different colleges on the campus and learn new skills.
The Lafayette 4-H Hub-City News is the newsletter for the 4-H horse program in Lafayette Parish. It is intended for all members enrolled in the horse project and planning to exhibit a horse.
Judging for the Lafayette Parish 4-H Club-of-the-Month is conducted at each monthly club meeting from November through March of each year.

The livestock show and the educational efforts that support it are more about the kids than the livestock. The program is about helping young people be all they can be while caring for their animals.These shows are conducted in January and February of each year. Exhibitors presented their livestock projects that consisted of beef, goats, poultry, sheep, and swine. The champions and reserve champions are listed in these results.
Four environmental rating scales are in use now: (1) Early Childhood Environment, (2) Infant and Toddler Environment, (3) Family Day Care Environment and (4) School-Age Care Environment. (PDF Format Only)
