Join 2,000 other 4-H Junior Leaders at 4-H University. Experience what it is like to live in a college dorm room and explore the LSU campus. The events include competition for trips and prizes, educational activities, personal development sessions and guest speakers, as well as interviews for the Food and Fitness Board, Fashion Board, Citizenship Board and SET Board. The election of state officers and district representatives to the State Executive Committee are also held during 4-H University. Each evening there is an assembly in the Pete Marivich Assembly Center where 4-H’ers participate in special events followed by music, dancing and hanging out with friends.
4-H’ers who participate in 4-H University can choose to participate in a competition from more than 36 subject areas including public speaking, consumer decision making, computer science, dog care, fashion, all-terrain vehicles, photography and many other topics. Contest participants will also take part in educational sessions and community service projects.
Clover College is designed for 4-H’ers who want to participate in intensive workshops on topics such as Forensic Science, Project Runway, K-9 Connections, Tiger Chef, Lights, Camera, Action!, Health Professionals 101 and many more. If you choose to participate in Clover College, you will spend Wednesday and Thursday participating in these exciting workshops.
