4-H'ers from St. Helena Parish attended 4-H Day at the Capitol On Wednesday, May 29, 2013. 45 St. Helena Parish 4-H'ers, along with their parents, and Angela Myles (Area Youth Development Agent) and Toni Melton (Youth Coordinator) participated in the annual 4-H Day at the Capitol activities beginning with an assembly on the front steps of the Capitol building. Other volunteers were Renekia Melton, Louzianna Scott, Coach Holmes with the St. Helena Parish School System and Debra Scott.

This event brought together 1,400 participants from across Louisiana and provided an opportunity for 4-H members to learn about the legislative process. Following the assembly, the group toured the Capitol and experienced the legislature at work. They also viewed the 4-H exhibits and displays set up in the lobby featuring Louisiana 4-H programs.
