4-H Food Focus Workshop

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at the 4-H office, located in Edgard, La. Get the edge on the competition for the Food Focus Contest by learning some great tips in preparing tasty food dishes.

4-H Food Focus Contest

The 4-H Food Focus Contest will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at the Andouille Festival. Registration
starts at noon. All entries must be in by 12:30 p.m. Judging will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Awards presentation will be at 3:30 p.m. in Kids Zone. Please see form attached for the contest rules. We look forward to your participation.

Annual 4-H Day with the Tigers

The annual 4-H Day with the Tigers is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, in Tiger Stadium as LSU versus Western Kentucky. It's homecoming and that will provide extra excitement and activities during the game!

The tailgate party will be held in Parker Coliseum starting at 10 a.m. The LSU Golden Girls will perform at 10:30 a.m. and the LSU Cheerleaders, Mascot and Tiger Girls will make an appearance at 2:45 p.m.

There will be several games available for 4-H members in Parker Coliseum including the Rock Wall along with more than 100 door prizes for 4-H members and food, water and drinks.

Tickets are $25 and are located in the East Upper Deck. All money for ordering tickets must be in no later than Monday, Sept. 19, 2011.

School Garden Project

If your school is interested in participating in the school garden project, please contact the St. John Parish 4-H Office.  We look forward to seeing what you can grow!
