Schedule of events for the 2023 State Livestock Show and District Show Schedules
7th & 8th grade youth will get the opportunity to have fun with science by attending the annual 4-H LOST Camp.
(Video 05/31/17) To help fight childhood obesity, St. Mary Parish 4-H leaders in put together a healthy living program that emphasized diet and exercise.
Rules, Schedules and Registration for the 2015 St. Mary Parish Junior Fair and Livestock Show. This year the St. Mary Parish Junior Fair and Livestock Show will be held January 21-23, 2016.
On June 1st more than 80 St. Mary Parish 4-H members (4th, 5th and 6th graders) from clubs throughout the parish got on buses and left for an adventure at 4-H Summer Camp.
St. Mary Parish "Zoo-to-Boo" Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Morgan City Chamber of Commerce and will have games and activity booths, free Halloween bags with goodies, concessions and sweet treats.
The 4-H Cloverbud newsletter is published monthly for 4-H Cloverbuds in St. Mary Parish. Please share with others in your home. 4-H agents should bring one copy to each enrolled member at each monthly meeting. St. Mary Parish 4-H will be hosting a Commodity Cookery Contest on November 7, 2015 in the St. Mary Parish 4-H office. Contest categories include eggs, beef, seafood, sugar, poultry, rice and sweet potatoes.

LWF presented the 2012 Conservation Educator of the Year award to the collaboration of St. Mary Parish 4-H and St. Mary Parish Government for the “Louisiana Wetlands & Black Bear Awareness in St. Mary Parish” program. Adriana Drusini and Jenni Ducote with St. Mary Parish 4-H and Catherine Siracusa, the St. Mary Parish Black Bear Conflict Officer, accepted the award.
The Acadiana District Livestock Show (ADLS) Premier Exhibitor Program is open to exhibitors in the 8th through 12th grades. The Acadiana District Livestock Show was held at the UL Lafayette Blackham Coliseum Complex in Lafayette, LA on January 26-28, 2013.
J.S. Aucoin Elementary School 4-H Club hosted a school wide collected for non-perishable food items. Over 400 items were collected and combined into Thanksgiving Baskets, which were then donated to the Knights of Columbus to distribute to selected families in need.

Scheduled for Wednesday, October 24th at the Patterson Civic Center, this year’s summit re-addresses an issue that continues to plague us – “Bullying”! This year, we plan to take a new look at an old problem. Topics include – Bullying and Nutrition, Bullying and Social Networking, Bullying and physical fitness, and Bullying and family communication
On April 26, 2012 St. Mary Parish 4-H Junior Leadership Club partnered with the Bayou Teche Refuge along with additional parish organizations for the 2012 St. Mary Parish Junior Leader Day of Service.
Wyandotte Elementary 4-H Club members competed in a club-wide drawing contest. "Get Fit with 4-H" was the theme for the contest and is this school year's theme for Wyandotte Elementary 4-H Club.
4-H members from St. Mary Parish departed Franklin on June 19, 2012, to participate at the 98th annual 4-H University and become their “own” stars. This 4-day event provides our youth new opportunities to explore the LSU campus, experience college life, learn about potential careers, build leadership skills, and meet youth from across the state.
The St. Mary Parish 4-H Program has been involved with the Pull Tab Program for five years now. This community service experience is a fun and easy way to help others. It is one of Ronald McDonald House Charities' most popular fundraisers and its support just keeps on growing. Through the continued support of individuals, corporations, and organizations, the Pull Tab Program brings in an average of $8,000 a year.
All current 7th and 8th grade 4-H members who have not attended Challenge Camp in the past are invited to attend.
On August 8, 2012, this group of “chefs” attended the last class of the year and received a certificate of completion and medal, along with a personalized embroidered apron and chef’s hat as part of their graduation.
The 2012 St. Mary Parish 4-H Harvest Cookery Contest will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012, in the Parish 4-H office, which is located on the 3rd floor of the Franklin Courthouse. Categories are: Poultry, Eggs, Beef, Seafood and Sugar.
