Postdoctoral Researcher - Bossier Parish - R00064701

Work Location: Red River Research Station, LSU AgCenter, Bossier City, Louisiana.

Responsibilities: A fulltime Postdoctoral Researcher is required to assist applied and extension research program in the areas of row crop nutrient and water management, conservation tillage and soil health. Position responsibilities include, but not limited to, carrying out various on-farm and small plot field experiments, field installation of scientific equipment, data processing, writing journal and extension publications, supporting grant writing, and supervision of student workers. Responsibilities may involve some travel.

Qualifications: Minimum qualification include a PhD degree from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Soil Science, Soil Microbiology, or Environmental Sciences by the expected position start date. Candidate should have proficiency in Microsoft office and statistical software SAS or R, excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to learn new things, ability to work as part of a team, ability to work independently without supervision and ability to work outside in hot and humid environments. Previous experience in on-farm row-crop research and conservation tillage, and use of soil moisture sensors are highly desirable.

Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
