Postdoctoral Researcher - East Baton Rouge Parish - R00064973

Work Location: Baton Rouge, School of Plant, Environmental and Soil Sciences, LSU AgCenter

Responsibilities: The individual will be expected to perform a variety of duties as a post-doc researcher in the School of Plant, Environmental and Soil Sciences. These duties include conducting laboratory and field experiments relating to soil chemistry/fertility with emphasis on nutrient management, running and managing laboratory instruments, writing scientific manuscripts and grant proposals. Responsibilities may involve some travel.

Qualification Requirements: Minimum qualification include a PhD degree from an accredited institution in Agronomy, Soil Science, or Environmental Sciences. Candidate should be proficient in using statistical software SAS or R, able to work independently without supervision and as part of a team. Previous research experience in plant micronutrients and/or growth stimulants as well as using analytical instruments (ICP, TOC, GC, and FTIR, etc) are preferred.

Salary and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. The LSU AgCenter has an attractive benefits package with a wide variety of benefit options.
