Walk-A-Mile Day in East Carroll Parish

The first Walk-A-Mile Day Event in East Carroll Parish was a huge success! Community members came out and participated in a data walk and walked a mile. Students participated in informational booths and spent the day partaking in physical activity sessions.

The East Carroll Parish 4-H Junior Leaders & HYPE Coalition also did a great job at leading the youth to their stations, packing bags, leading activities, and assisting with all other needs throughout the day.

Walk-A-Mile Day from here on out will be observed every 4th Wednesday in East Carroll Parish. The community is looking forward to seeing the many ways the day will continue to be celebrated in the years to come. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this project, and we would like to give a special thanks to the East Carroll Parish Police Jury, The Town of Lake Providence, and The East Carroll Parish Hospital. This project could not have been successful without their partnership and support.
