LSU AgCenter virtual beef, forage field day goes live Sept. 17

(09/16/20) BATON ROUGE, La. — The LSU AgCenter Northeast Region will post a virtual field day video series on Sept. 17 to provide the latest information on beef cattle and forage production.

The videos will be available at www.LSUAgCenter.com/NEBeefForageFieldDay.

Presentations will include:

— Sprayer calibration by AgCenter weed scientist Ron Strahan.

— Recordkeeping system for cow-calf producers by AgCenter economist Kurt Guidry.

— Fertilizers and pasture fertilization by AgCenter agronomist Wink Alison.

— Advantages of estrus synchronization for natural service by AgCenter agent Ashley Edwards.

— Economic benefits of defining a breeding season by AgCenter agent Jason Holmes.
