Since the Ronald McDonald House in Monroe opened in 1985 it has hosted more than 8,000 families from 30 states & 9 foreign countries. Primarily it has served trauma, heart disease, cancer, serious childhood diseases, & families of premature babies who need to be close to area hospitals.
Guests are asked to donate $10 per night to help offset expenses. However, this only accounts for 21% of the total operating budget. It is for this reason that the Ronald McDonald House is grateful for the support of the community. It would be wonderful to see this program grow through our Ouachita 4-H families! Save those tabs!!! The tabs can come from energy drinks, soup cans, or anything with a metallic tab. Donations may be dropped off at the 4-H office, 704 Cypress Street, West Monroe.
